If you have been involved with the Business Analysis community in Hawaii, then you know that we are ramping things up with the chapter. We are currently working on the State of Hawaii paperwork to become a recognized not-for-profit. In early August we submitted a formal charter application with IIBA headquarters and on August 30th the IIBA recognized our new status. This was officially announced to the community at an event on September 14th at HMSA. More details are in the slide deck embedded from YouTube below:
Membership in the First Year
On 4/22/2010, our first five volunteers answered the call and met at the ING Direct Cafe to plan a kickoff for the Chapter. In that year, IIBA membership in Hawaiʻi has nearly tripled. Had our volunteers also tripled to 15, we would be much further along in obtaining our charter and providing services. If you can help, please contact one of us.
