IIBA Hawaii Chapter Board of Director 'Odd Year' Election Open Positions

Calling all Future Leaders! "Odd Year" Board Nominations are now open!

The IIBA Hawaii chapter is excited to announce open positions for our upcoming election.  These positions will serve the board and the BA community during the 2022 to 2024 calendar years.

These roles provide a great experience and an opportunity to grow your leadership skills and help give back to this amazing community! These roles need your commitment, dedication, and time over the next two years. You do get to work as part of a dedicated dynamic team that shows when we all give a little bit of time we can really accomplish some great things together!

You may nominate someone or nominate yourself! Our only requirements are that the nominee is a member of the IIBA Hawaii chapter, is in good standing with IIBA international, and is willing to dedicate some time and energy to promote the practice and profession of business analysis by giving us your commitment through the election term (2022-2024). This is an exciting time as our chapter is quickly growing.  We are continually seeking help from our great community leaders to point us in the right direction and ensure we have business analysis opportunities within our community. We hope you’ll join us to learn about these opportunities, how Board positions grow your career and your experience, and how you can help us build a greater and stronger community of business analysis professionals here in the Hawaiian islands.

Open positions are as follows:

Board Role  Responsibilities
Vice President
  • KPI: Number of Members and their satisfaction. Number of Volunteers and their satisfaction. Manage chapter in conformance with IIBA HQ requirements, Chapter Bylaws and Policies, and State and Federal law.
  • Organize committees and volunteers.
  • Preside at meetings.
  • KPI: Manage chapter documents in conformance with IIBA HQ requirements, Chapter Bylaws and Policies, and State and Federal law.
  • Corporate filings.
  • Management Team meeting agenda and minutes.
  • Chapter correspondence.
Director of Membership
  • KPI: Number of Members
  • During chapter start-up, solicit signatures for petition to IIBA to charter a chapter.
  • Maintain chapter metrics in a spreadsheet with information from IIBA and our websites.
  • Welcome new contacts. Understand their needs, provide answers to membership questions, and match up with volunteer opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain value proposition for individuals members.
Director of Sponsorship
  • Obtain sponsorship for the organization.
  • Obtain sponsorship for the organization’s events.
  • Ensure sponsorship engagements align with the mission of organization.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local community partners.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with international IIBA community.
  • Provide reports to the Board and chapter, as required.
Director of Marketing
  • Market the organization’s mission and vision to the local and international communities.
  • Promote the organization’s brand in a consistent manner that supports the organization.
  • Support the other Board members in the marketing of their events and initiatives.
  • Build relationship with community organizations to leverage for marketing organization.
  • Ensure marketing efforts are in alignment with the organization’s mission.
  • Provide reports to the Board and chapter, as required.
