Working with DoD practitioners of Lean, Six Sigma and the Theory of Constraints, fed my interest in the methodologies over 15 years ago. I was certified as an LSS MBB by BYU Hawaii in 2008 and have been using various aspects of the methodology ever since (SynCADD Systems, Inc., Allscripts, TeamPraxis, UnitedHealth Group, Hawaiian Telcom, Applied Research Works, World Wide Technology, Queens Health Systems, and even Palace Saimin). I am currently a Process Improvement Lead at Hawaiian Airlines, part of the Palace Saimin team and privileged to be a contributor to the Mana'Olana International business consultation team.

Felicia C. Thomas
Currently serving as the Sr. Director, Organization Effectiveness for Hawaiian Airlines, Felicia brings over
18 years’ experience in Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and operational leadership.
Commissioned out of Howard University as a U.S. Army Military Intelligence Officer, she spent 4 years
on active duty where she attained the rank of Captain and learned the foundations of leadership,
structured planning, and thoughtful decision-making.  After military service, she joined the civilian sector
with General Electric where she received her certification and supported GE Supply- Marketing as a Six
Sigma Black Belt.  Positions of increasing responsibility and a continual development of new skills led
Felicia to other large companies such as Procter and Gamble, Raytheon, Merck, and now Hawaiian
Airlines.  She has held positions as a Six Sigma Black Belt (at both GE and Hawaiian), a manufacturing
Value Stream manager, a pharma Quality Control Labs leader and leader of Continuous Improvement
organizations for both Raytheon and Merck sub-divisions.

Felicia’s focus in her current role is dedicated to not only Continuous Improvement but also reviewing,
refining and streamlining organizational efforts and structures across Hawaiian Airlines as a whole.
Most recently, she was promoted the Sr. Director of Organization Effectiveness at Hawaiian Airlines
where she is responsible for improving enterprise execution against corporate priorities and aligning the
organization to meet those goals.
